  This report compiles results from existing source apportionment studies and provides a harmonised assessment of the results in order to provide an overview on the current knowledge and data on Nitrogen and Phosphorus releases from land-based activities (focus agriculture) to water in Europe. In addition the report provides overview information on the major European models calculating the nutrient input from diffuse sources for different aquatic catchments areas.
